Walter Lomax, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Service for Mr. Lomax will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 3:30 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson with Pastor Gene Williams, officiating. Public viewing will be Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Walter Lomax, Jr. was born in Anderson, SC April 10, 1941 and departed this life on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Walter was the owner of Walt’s Body Shop for 45 years. He attended Word Tabernacle from time to time. Walter loved talking about the Lord Jesus Christ to his family members and friends. He was an astounding father and grandfather. He will be missed by his son, Andrew Lomax; two daughters, Rebecca Lomax and Rosa Lomax; his (ex-wife) Rosa Mae Lomax; sister, Alice Lomax – her daughter, April Quarles (niece); grandchildren: Sharon Lomax, Jessica Lomax, Jasmine Allen, Fernandez Allen, Andew Allen, and Christopher Thompson; great-grandchildren: Isaiah Woods, Teriana Hall, Zuryah Wardlaw, Jakhia Lomax Jayden Lomax, Genesis Allen, Jaylen Allen, Maylasia Allen, Josiah, Deshaun (deceased), and Gabriella Thompson; step-great-grandchildren: London Austin, Lamarcus Dogan, and Antwuan Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family is at their respective homes.
