Sarah Parson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sister Sarah Belton Parson, age 80, was born November 3, 1941 to the late Alfreda Cook Belton and Alex Belton, Sr. She transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Sister Parson was a member of Zion Pentecostal Church where she was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost for over 40 years. She was a faithful saint until the end, never late, always on time, rejoicing, praying, singing and praising the Lord. She will truly be missed by all that loved her. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Millicent Parson and Lavendia Glenn of Anderson, SC; one son, David Parson of Augusta, GA; one sister, Viola (Glenn) Taylor of Detroit, MI; two brothers, Herman Belton of Camden, SC and Freddie Belton of Columbia, SC; three honorary daughters, JoEva Pickens, Everette Adger, and Johnnie Mance of Anderson, SC; twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Winfield Parson; daughter, Wanda Parson Williams; and brother, Sonny Alex Belton. On Sunday, April the 10th, 2022, funeral service for Sister Parson will be held at 2:00 pm at Zion Apostolic Church of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Anderson, SC with Bishop Mark Clinkscales as the eulogist for the funeral ceremony. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Anderson, SC. The funeral service will stream-live from The Unity Mortuary’s Facebook page. Public viewing (to pay your respects) will be Saturday, April the 9th, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and continuing Sunday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am and the family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the mortuary. The family will be at 116 Fyffe Drive, Anderson, SC 29625.
