Sandra Harris

July 5, 1971 - April 17, 2022

Sandra Yvonne Harris, 50, of 125 Brookemeade Drive in Anderson, departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at AnMed Hospital. She was the daughter of Willie Satterfield Harris and Willie Pearl Tucker Harris and the granddaughter of James and Mattie Lee Harris and Thomas James Tucker and Mamie Ruth Tucker. Despite a mental disability and several chronic health challenges, she excelled in sports through the Special Olympics organization. Sandra was also an artist, who specialized in drawing. She loved to sing and dance, and she lit up the world with her huge smile and outgoing personality. Sandra leaves to mourn her passing a devoted sister and caregiver Samantha Hill, and two brothers James Tucker (Anne) and Bernard Tucker, an aunt Patsy Winn, an uncle James MacArthur Tucker, a special friend Cassius Willis, all of Anderson, several nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her grandparents, great grandparents and others. She was a devoted member of Anderson Mennonite Church and later Kingdom Vision Worship Center. She will be dearly missed and forever loved. On Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, a memorial ceremony for Ms. Harris will be held at 1:00 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson.
