Roderikus M. Pickens Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rodriquez M. Pickens, affectionately known as ‘’ Big Al’’, age 43, transitioned from earth to glory on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at AnMed Health. He was born in Anderson, SC on February 27, 1979. He was the son of the late Linda Pickens and Eddie Lee Donald. Rodriquez grew up in Anderson County and attended District Five schools. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed working for Electrolux prior to his death. He loved cooking on the grill, traveling, spending time with his family, and riding his motorcycle. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and mastered the art of talking smack. He had and infectious smile, he always found something to smile about. Rodriquez was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Pickens; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his uncle, James Pickens. Rodriquez is survived by his wife, Felecia Richardson-Pickens; sons, Denarius Pickens (Lashana), Zabraylon Richardson, Antareus Pressley; daughters, Jalice Harris, Kloey Pickens, and Makenzie Pickens; grandchildren, Tameron, Karter, and Kobe Pickens; sisters, Ushecka Ware, Anisha Blanding, and Wynter Blanding; brother, James ‘’Turk’’ Pickens (Vanessa); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service for Mr. Pickens will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm at New Life Christian Center, Anderson, SC. Interment will be at Generostee Baptist Church, Starr, SC. Public viewing will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the mortuary. The family is at their respective homes.
