Larry Byrd Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Larry Evon Byrd was born on August 12, 1961. He departed this life on Monday June 6, 2022. He was employed with Milliken & Company for over 36 years of service. He was a 1979 graduate of Pendleton High School and continued his studies at South Carolina State University, located in Orangeburg South Carolina. While pursuing his bachelor's degree in business administration, he was also active in the United States Army Reserve. His hobbies included bowling, golf, NASCAR racing and following his favorite football team, The Pittsburgh Steelers. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Byrd and Mary W. Byrd; and two sisters, Melinda B. Mason and Eleanor B. Ellington. He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, James (Paula) Byrd of Charlotte North Carolina and Darryl C. Byrd of Pendleton, South Carolina; five sisters, Dorothy (Ray) Hunter, Janet Miller and Lisa Byrd all of Anderson, South Carolina, Sharon (Johnathan) Wright of Lithia Georgia, and Janice Lee of Pendleton, South Carolina; and a number of nieces, nephews. He also leaves to cherish his fond memories, his friend and partner of 20 years, Rusty Dixon. He was loved by a host of coworkers, extended family members and friends.
