Joyce Allen

March 22, 1950 - December 26, 2021

The Funeral Ceremony Celebrating the Life of Ms. Allen will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 12:00 noon at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson with Pastor Ankoma Anderson, eulogist. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Anderson, SC. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and continuing Friday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. On Sunday, December 26, 2021, Joyce departed this life. Joyce was born on March 22, 1950 in Anderson, South Carolina. She was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School. She was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church and retired from BASF Corporation where she was employed for over 35 years as a dedicated employee. Joyce loved spending time with family and particularly her grandchildren. On Saturdays, you could depend on her providing you with where afternoon church programs would be held, and she was sure to be at one and sometimes left one for another. She loved being in church, singing and praising God. Her father, James Allen; her mother, Frances Morris Allen; and her brothers, Khalid- Abdul Rahman and James ‘’Jimmy’’ Allen, Jr. (Ricky Allen), all preceded her in death. She leaves to continue her legacy three loving children, Anthony Allen, Portia Grooms (Britt), and Cedric Clinkscales; 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters: Barbara Fleming and Teresa Chancellor; two brothers: Rodney Allen (Kathy) and Reggie Allen; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family is at 118 Terrace Lane, Anderson, SC 29621 and 114 Midway Drive, Anderson, SC 29625.
