James Barnes Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. James E. Barnes departed this life June 9, 2022. He was Skilled Cook at B&R Restaurant located in Williamston, SC for more than 20 years. Prior to working at B&R Restaurant, James worked at the Estes Plant in Piedmont, SC for more than 25 years. James had a heart of gold and anyone who met him loved him. He never met a stranger and greeted everyone with love and a warm hug. James loved family, music, and cooking. James leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Willie M. Hunt of the home; one brother, Clarence Renia Hunt of the home; two nieces, Latasha Foggie of Easley, SC and Chasni Hunt of Belton, SC; two nephews Clarence O’Bryan Hunt of Central, SC and Cortney Hunt of Anderson, SC; two great-nieces, Lillyana Foggie and Aliva Gray; and two great-nephews, Triston Gray and Phillip J. Foggie. He was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Barnes. Acknowledgement from the Family: The family of James E. Funeral service for Mr. Barnes will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm at The Roosevelt Thompson Memorial Chapel of The Unity Mortuary of Williamston. Public viewing will be Friday, June 17, 2022 from 2:00 p until 8:00 pm and Saturday (the day of the graveside service) from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon at the mortuary in Williamston.
