The family of Mr. Miles invite you to join them as they celebrate his life on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 12:00 noon at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson with Apostle Bertha Terry as the eulogist and Elder Corey Terry as the presider for the ceremony. Interment will follow at Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Starr, SC. The service will be streamed-live from the mortuary’s website. The public is invited to pay their respects to Mr. Miles starting on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and continuing on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the mortuary. On Wednesday, January26, 2022 in Anderson SC, Mr. Gregory Bernard Miles affectionately known as ‘’Greg’’ departed this life. He was born in Sumter SC the son of late Jimmie and Lula Mae West Miles. At an early age, he joined the Royal Baptist Church of North Charleston, SC. Where he was a member of the sunbeam choir and other youth organizations. For 26 plus years he was a member of God Chosen Assembly in Simpsonville SC where he served on the Media, Men, Children and Evangelism Ministries. After graduating from Chicora High School In 1980, he attended Virginian Union University in Richmond, VA on a football scholarship. In 1995, he met and Married Dietra Lake and to this union they were blessed with two sons. Gregory worked for many years at Electrolux Corporation in Anderson SC. He was currently employed at Mergon Corporation in Anderson SC. He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Benjamin and Braxton Miles both of Greenville SC; three brothers, Mr. James F. (Lois)Miles of Atlanta GA, Edward S. (Jackey) Miles of Charleston, SC, and Dirian Miles of Ladson, SC. The family would like to thank each and everyone for your outpouring love and support during this most difficult time in their lives. The family will be at their respective homes.
