Funeral service for Emma Elizabeth Geer will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Welfare Baptist Church, Belton, South Carolina with Apostle James M. Bennett, presiding and Dr. Ankoma D. Anderson, Sr., eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. The funeral service will be stream-live exclusively through our mortuary’s Facebook. Emma Elizabeth Geer resided at 43 North Bound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, Michigan. Emma entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home. She was born October 21, 1949 in Belton, South Carolina; the first born to the late Franklin Eugene and Odella Emma Geer. She was a member of Turner Chapel CME Church, 125 Clinton River Drive, Mount Clemens, Michigan. Emma was a member of the Usher Board, Treasurer, the Lay Department, and the Missionary Society. Emma Geer was a graduate of Geer- Gantt High School class of ’67 and attended Dorsey Technical College in Mount Clemens, Michigan. She was employed at Saint Joseph Hospital in Mount Clemens and at Ulrich Group Home. She was a retiree from Ford Motor Company (Union Worker of locate 400) in Chesterfield, Michigan. Her hobby was bowling and was a member of the Golden Oreo bowling team. She leaves to cherish fond memories to her siblings: James (Patricia) Geer, John (Doris) Geer, Mallie Wheeler, Ollie Geer, and Shirley (Glenn) Davis all of Anderson, SC, Douglas Geer of Apex, NC, Edgar Geer of Atlanta, GA, Alice Geer of Belton, SC; a host of nieces and nephews; two bonus sons: Jeffrey Robinson of Columbia, OH and Michael Robinson of Mount, Clemens, MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Gail Geer and Janie Ruth Geer; and two brothers, George Anthony Geer and Fedrick Lavon Geer. The family is at their respective homes.
