Donald Brown Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald Brown passed away at the age of 67 on Friday, April 8, 2022 in Charlotte, NC. Born on September 19, 1954 in Anderson County, SC, he was the son of the late Levis Brown and Dorothy Hamilton. Following graduation from Pendleton High School, Donald attended and graduated from Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC, where he earned his degree in Social Sciences in 1977. At his university, Donald was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Upon relocation to Charlotte, he became a firefighter for the city of Charlotte for eight years. Donald then pursued his dream of business ownership, as owner of ‘’A Liberty Mover’s.’’ He leaves to cherish fond memories his loving wife of 41 years, Clementine; sons, Mayfield and Jason both of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Clara Doris Young of Pendleton, SC; brothers, Jimmy Brown of Belton, SC, Clyde Brown (Johnnie) of Anderson, SC, and Levis Brown, Jr. (Jutta) of Pendleton, SC; one granddaughter, Danissa Brown of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life for Donald will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. Following the celebration of life will be a committal service from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm at York Memorial Park, 5150 South Tyron Street, Charlotte, NC 28217.
