David Sherman Wiley was born November 1, 1957 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Mary Frances Wiley and Jessie Wiley, Jr. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 after a lengthy illness in Anderson, SC at his home. He served his country in ‘76 as a veteran in the United States Army, where he finished his high school education. He was blessed with seven siblings. He was the second to the oldest first being his late sister, Juliette Wiley and the late brother, Peter Wiley. He leaves behind and continues the love in the hearts of his other five siblings, Melissa Wiley, Vivian Wiley, Belinda Wiley, Sally Heard, and Steve Wiley; a host of nieces and nephews, Mertresia Wiley, Tonmaneka Petterson, Ciji Wiley, Cameron Wiley, Chasity Harrison, Sa’Sha Wiley, Rahyel Wiley, Cornelia Wiley, Cassandra Johnson, Shareika Wiley, Stevie Isaiah Wiley, and Kalisha Wiley; fourteen great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. David was very well known for his stylish fashion and always held a Kangol hat to go with every suit. Smooth ride, he loved himself a Cadillac and listened to his favorite bands. A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. David Sherman Wiley will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson with Bishop Stanley Chamblee, officiating. Interment will follow at the M.J. ‘’Dolly’’ Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, SC. Public viewing will be Monday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Mr. Wiley’s service will be live streamed from The Unity Mortuary website. The family is at their respective homes.
