Charlie Kendricks Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral service for Mr. Kendrick will be held on Sunday, August 29,2021 at 2:00 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson with Pastor Nelson Williams Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Anderson, SC. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Charlie Lee Kendrick, age 64, of 125 Stegall Circle, Greenville, SC passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was born April 4, 1957 to the late Jobie Richardson, Sr. and Clara Alice Kendrick-Richardson in Starr, SC. He departed this life on August 25, 2021 at his home in Greenville, SC. ‘’Charlie Pride or CP’’, as we called him, was always smiling or grinning. If he wasn't playing with his younger nieces and nephews, he was beating the adults in tonk and taking their money. Back in the day he loved his Cadillacs and detailing cars. He also worked as a short order cook at Lil Pigs Barbeque. He lived his best life traveling with his family to many different places he had never been after his father passed on in 2017. He is survived by his sons, Daquan Kendrick and Xavier Latimer; five sisters, Lizzie Stowers, JoAnn Crosby, Gladys Carpenter, Shirley Madera, and Barbara Rosemond; one brother, Jobie (Edna) Richardson, Jr. his niece, Serena (Haskell) Nutridge, where he lived out his last days; and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Marion, Robert and Jimmy Richardson. The family is at the home, 125 Stegall Circle, Greenville, SC 29611.
