Bobby Poole Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

The Funeral Ceremony Celebrating the Life of Mr. Poole will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson with Dr. Curtis Hill, eulogist. Public viewing will held on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and continue on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. The Funeral Ceremony will stream live exclusively through the mortuary’s website. Bobby Ray Poole. Born on January 18, 1963 in Oconee County, South Carolina to the late Henry Poole, Sr. and Doris S. Poole. Bobby Poole departed this life on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Emory University Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. Bobby graduated from Pendleton High School in 1982. He worked for La France Industries for a short period of time before joining the United States Navy in 1985, dedicating his life to the military he retired after serving 20 years. Bobby enjoyed remodeling old school cars, fishing, and visiting his family. Bobby was a grill master and loved his old school music and most of his “ole gal” his 1981 Buick Regal. He leaves to mourn his loving memories his loving wife of 30 years, Rachel; his three daughters, Courtney Poole of Seneca, SC, Octavia Boyce of Norfolk, VA, and Chanel Poole of Charlotte, NC; his one and only son, Genesis of Canton, GA; his six grandchildren, Xavion, Kingston, Nylah, Chloe, Trae, and Jayce; his two sisters, Elaine Poole of White Plains, NY and Lynn Poole-Bailey (Hughton) of Mt. Laurel, NJ; two special aunts, Gloria Johnson of Pendleton, SC and Dorothy Arthur of (Westminster, SC); and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his only brother, Henry “Pig” Poole Jr. The family of the late Bobby Ray Poole would like to express our sincere appreciation for your sympathy, prayers, and kindness during this time.
