Andrew Dawson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Andrew Dawson. He was born on November 9th, 1942 and resided at 3089 Scarborough Road, Anderson, SC. He entered into rest on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 at Anmed Health Medical Center, Anderson, SC. He was 77 years of age. Mr. Dawson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Brenda Dawson; his daughters, Terria McDonald (Kevin) of Decatur, GA., Syretta Martin of Anderson, SC; sons, Andrew Dawson, Jr. of Toccoa, GA., Markeese Churchwell of Decatur, GA.; sister, Christine McDuffie of Anderson, SC; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Tee Etta Dawson; sisters, Nellie Mae Dawson and Ida Mae Dawson; brothers, Daniel Dawson, Harvey Dawson and J C Dawson. Celebration of Life for Mr. Dawson will begin at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 28th, 2020 at King David Baptist Church, 308 Old Green Pond Road, Anderson, SC 29625 with Reverend Darryl Hall, officiating and Reverend Christopher Lee, presiding. His final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, January 27th, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the mortuary. The family is at the home, 2089 Scarborough Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
